This assignment is based on the discussions we had in the first-week class meetings. You have learned what the software crisis (or information systems failure) is, and some of the major causes. You also have been exposed to several software system failure cases in the class. Your task is to use the Web and/or printed media to find one software failure case in the past 24 months, describe the case to your designated audience (in this case, your college friends who are not IT majors), and explain the reasons that you believe caused the software failure. Also discuss what you think could have done to avoid failure, or what should have been done to succeed. Provide a bibliography of all sources you used.
